An oven that never reaches temperature, bakes one side darker or flashes an error code mid-dinner? A local technician finds the cause, explains the fix before starting, and repairs the oven right in your kitchen.
We repair the oven itself. Gas line hookups and new gas connections are done by a licensed plumber.

No. 02 · What goes wrong
These are the calls we get when a oven starts acting up. Each one lists the usual causes and a safe check you can do before booking a visit.
A tired igniter opens the gas valve late, so the gas builds up and lights all at once.
Clogged ports spread the flame slowly and unevenly across the burner.
A loose or bent spreader lets the flame catch late on one side.
Watch the burner through the bottom vent while the oven lights. If you see a glow for more than a minute before the flame appears, stop using the oven and call us.
Many ovens have their own breaker, and some boards carry a small fuse that blows in a surge.
Storm outages can knock out the board or the keypad, leaving the oven with no display at all.
An overheated oven, often after self-clean, cuts the power to the controls.
Check the breaker panel for a tripped oven breaker and reset it once. If the display stays dark, leave it off and call us.
A flattened seal lets heat pour out around the door and onto the knobs.
The fan that keeps the controls and door cool can stop, especially during long bakes.
Cracked inner glass or shifted insulation inside the door lets heat straight through.
Close the door on a strip of paper at several spots around the edge. If it slides out easily, the gasket is not sealing.
Self-clean runs very hot, and an aging fuse or a blocked vent can trip it partway through.
If the oven cannot confirm the door is locked, it stops the cycle for safety.
A sensor reading too high makes the oven think it is overheating.
Wipe out heavy spills before running self-clean and avoid it right before a big holiday meal, when a failed part is hardest to replace in time.
Leave the house right away. Do not flip switches, unplug anything or light a flame, and call 911 or your gas company from outside. Call us once the gas company has made it safe.
Not sure which one you have? We will find out.
