A burner that clicks but will not light, a coil that stays cold or a glass top showing an error? A local technician finds the cause, explains the fix before starting, and repairs the stove right in your kitchen.
We repair the stove itself. Gas line hookups and new gas connections are done by a licensed plumber.

No. 02 · What goes wrong
These are the calls we get when a stove starts acting up. Each one lists the usual causes and a safe check you can do before booking a visit.
Dual elements have two rings. When the outer one burns out, only the small center glows.
The switch that chooses one or both rings can fail and leave the larger ring off.
A temperature limiter under the glass can cycle the element off too early.
Try a different burner size setting and a flat-bottomed pan. If the outer ring never glows, the element or its switch needs testing.
A burner that clicks for a while before catching lets a little gas out each time.
A fitting at the back of the range or at the regulator can loosen after the stove is moved.
A worn valve behind a knob can pass gas even when the knob is off.
Make sure every knob is fully off. If you still smell gas, leave the house and follow the gas safety steps below.
The low setting drifts up or the flame goes out because the valve no longer meters gas evenly.
A range set up for propane or natural gas with the wrong orifices burns too high or too weak.
Food clogging the small ports makes the low flame weak and easy to blow out.
Lift the cap and grate and gently clean the burner ports with a straight pin. Let everything dry fully before lighting it again.
A heavy pot or a dropped jar can chip the glass, and the crack keeps spreading with heat.
Cold water or a frozen pan on a hot surface can crack the glass all the way across.
An element that runs hotter than it should stresses the glass over it.
Stop using the cooktop and switch the breaker off. Spills can reach the wiring through a crack, so the glass top needs replacing.
Leave the house right away. Do not flip switches, unplug anything or light a flame, and call 911 or your gas company from outside. Call us once the gas company has made it safe.
Not sure which one you have? We will find out.
